bhārat (“descended from emperor Bharata”, India) is home to the World’s oldest continuing civilization. Its people have a long cherished history of dialogue or vaarta, free from orthodoxy. Complex ideas on politics, policy, and culture were discussed threadbare with an acute emphasis on seeking, rather than believing. This tradition continues unfettered even today in the many bylanes and bazaars and the WhatsApp groups that capture our time and imagination.
